The Happy Dog Company was formed in 2011 by husband and wife team Ben & Laura. The couple got their first dog (Daisy the Chihuahua) in 2004 and went on to keep two of her pups, Florence & Oreo. Tired of the daily commute to London and increasingly loving his walks with his dogs, Ben decided it was time for a change. With both him and Laura coming from managerial backgrounds, they could see there was a gap in the market for a brilliantly operated pet company that not only provided a wider range of services, but one that genuinely cared for other people's animals as if they were their own. So, with this, a brave step was taken for them both and The Happy Dog Company was created. Since then, Laura has gone from part time administrator to Partner of the company, and it has grown in dog walkers from just Ben, to a team of loyal and well trusted staff members.
At The Happy Dog Company we know that dogs are much more than pets, they are family members. Dogs capture our hearts, share our homes and in many cases are given the same status as our children. That’s why choosing the right care for them is important.

After moving to Hove just under 8 years ago from Ibiza I was looking for something new, exciting and rewarding to do and thought dog walking sounded perfect. I’m so happy I didn’t head back to the 9-5 office job, as I love every second with the dogs exploring the beautiful South Downs on our walks. I have always loved dogs having them growing up and owning my own wonderful black Labrador Louie who is very privileged to come out on all our walks too.
My name is Lynn and I’m a huge dog lover, well all animals really. I joined Ben and Laura at the happy dog company in early 2021 to do the Friday mega hike and since then have met so many lovely dogs for walks, It’s every animal lovers dream.
I approached The Happy Dog Company in 2021, as I knew someone who had worked with Ben & Laura in the past.
I started walking for them as a Solo Dog walker to start with, with My Dog Lenny, and I’ve since learnt to drive and do walks in the week days & on weekends. I really enjoy trying out different walks around the Brighton & hove area. I love the flexibly it’s given me with working when I want to and meeting all the different dogs.
Linda is Laura’s mum, and joined us 5 years ago doing some small group walks, She had retired and moved to Brighton from the Isle of Wight, and wanted to keep active.
Spencer joined us in 2019 as a House Sitter, over his time with us, he’s meet some lovely dogs and owners along the way

Bookings can be made online or you can contact us direct
We can walk dogs in a group or Individually, depending on the dog and time slots we have available.
Payments are made via our booking site, and is linked to Stripe online payment service. All services have to be paid for before the service can take place.
